Jamaican football star Leon Bailey has officially made his debut for Greek giants Olympiacos following his recent move to the club.

Bailey made his first appearance for the Greek powerhouse as Olympiacos were held to a 0–0 draw by OFI Crete.

Although the result was not what Bailey and his new team would have wanted, the Jamaican winger was pleased to finally represent Olympiacos on the pitch.

Following the match, Bailey took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the milestone.

“Happy to make my debut for this amazing club, unfortunate about the result but we keep going. On to the next one,” Bailey wrote.

The debut marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Jamaican international, who recently completed his move to Olympiacos after leaving Aston Villa.

Bailey brings considerable European experience to the Greek club, having previously played in Belgium, Germany and England during his professional career.

He spent several seasons with Aston Villa after joining the Premier League club from Bayer Leverkusen and became an important part of their attack.

Now, Bailey will be hoping to settle quickly at Olympiacos and make his mark as the club competes for domestic success and in European competition.

Despite the goalless draw in his first appearance, Bailey’s message suggests he is already looking ahead and focused on what comes next with his new club.

For Jamaican football fans, his debut provides another opportunity to follow one of the country’s most prominent players as he begins his latest European adventure.
